The Netra News article reports that Bangladesh’s fuel shortage is pushing motorcyclists to use cooking gas (LPG) as an alternative fuel.

Many riders are converting their bikes to run on LPG because it’s cheaper and more available than petrol, sometimes cutting fuel costs by about half.

This trend is spreading in cities like Dhaka as fuel queues grow and prices rise.

However, experts warn it is extremely dangerous and illegal, since LPG cylinders can leak and create explosive conditions near the rider.

Despite the risks, many drivers, especially ride-hailing workers, continue using it out of economic necessity.
