Virginia is wording the question to confuse people on the vote!

    What the hell.

    I already know what the amendment is trying to do and that required multiple reads.

    Also it’s ridiculous they’re allowed to use language like “restore fairness” in these. This amendment “restoring fairness” is at best a subjective opinion.

    CA does the same.

    Inadequate definitions, Double negative, appeals to emotion, etc.

    There are so many issues with this. If it passes, I’ve a feeling that it will be caught up in litigation long enough that the new map won’t be used until the 2028 cycle if at all.

    The process would only need to be delayed for a few months before you can’t be used for a November election.

  4. The people who don’t really pay attention to politics or generally aren’t too smart will just read “fairness” and vote yes without thinking about it

  5. California did the same thing with their redistricting of the lines, cause they know people will just vote without actual understanding what their reading.
