  1. See this all sounds nice on the surface. But she’s on cloud 9 after her scam worked.

  2. “The construct where we accept this notion that there’s Democratic representatives who just represent Democrats and there are Republican representatives who just represent Republicans is kind of essential and consequential to what I think is at the heart of the problems facing the United States Congress,” Spanberger said…”

There’s no way a democrat said this with a straight face. The reason for the severe political division in this country is because of the democratic rhetoric. Calling the opposing political party a bunch of Nazis and fascists is not how you assure the other party that you are honestly representing them.

  3. Every word there is a lie.

U.S. House members do not represent “all” constituents. They are there to serve as loyal foot soldiers who vote exactly the way they are told to by their party superiors. Dissenters are quickly dealt with.

Furthermore, this is not temporary. Whoever heard of a party willingly giving power away to their opponent? Democrats just got four more seats in the House, why would they ever give that back to the Republicans? They’ll simply extend the new districts after 2030 under the guise of “preserving democracy by combating racism” or some other nonsense.

The irony that she’s spewing this while ramming through legislation that benefits Democrats is not lost on me.

Hm – The internet never forgets:

“I have no plans to redistrict Virginia.”
    — Abigail Spanberger, August 25, 2025

  6. Yeah … well when she starts representing the entire state as governor I’ll buy this
