I ran a high-gain Levels/Curves analysis on this 'historic' Apollo 16 photo. Look at the background. In the vacuum of space, you should see uniform digital noise or pure black. Instead, we see a textured red wall This is the clear signature of a studio set. The 'blackness of space' here is just a low-contrast mask designed to hide the studio walls. You are literally looking at the back of the stage.

  1. do the same thing to all other moon landing shots and see if the red wall is still there

  2. flamboyantdebauchry on

High-gain Levels and Curves analysis involves using tools to significantly alter the tonal range, contrast, or data representation, ***often pushing them to extremes to achieve specific visual or analytical outcomes.***
