Amjad Youssef is accused of committing serious war crimes during the Syrian civil war, most notably his role in the Tadamon massacre in Damascus in 2013. Evidence, including widely circulated video footage, shows detainees being blindfolded, led to a pit, and executed before their bodies were burned in an apparent attempt to hide the crime. He has been identified as one of the main officers involved in organizing and carrying out these killings, which targeted civilians. Reports and investigations have linked him directly to the execution of dozens, and possibly hundreds, of victims, making him one of the most prominent figures associated with documented atrocities from the conflict.
After the footage began to surface, he was not immediately arrested and instead managed to avoid accountability for years, benefiting from the protection and secrecy of the security apparatus he once served. During that time, he reportedly lived a relatively low profile life, moving carefully and avoiding attention while the outside world slowly uncovered his identity. Investigative journalists played a major role in exposing him, piecing together evidence from leaked videos and witness accounts. As international pressure grew and the evidence became impossible to ignore, the space for him to remain hidden shrank, eventually leading to his arrest and turning him from a shadowy figure into a central face of documented war crimes.

The picture of the massacre on Wikipedia is a cropped(just him holding/firing a gun) photo of him shooting a bound and blindfolded civilian in the pit.
This guy is a monster and hopefully justice is served.
On one side I am glad monsters like him are being brought to justice but there is always the bitter aftertaste of knowing that meanwhile the man who was ultimately responsible is playing League of Legends in a luxury apartment in Moscow.
