He’s kind of known for thinking differently. My guess is he thinks global warmings tipping point is closer than any of us want to admit and when the water rises the world will look very different. While most people are either in denial or seeing disaster he’s looking for the business opportunities in it. He also wants the post climate change world to be dominated by white christian’s and thinks the only way to ensure that is a dictatorship because democracy is too messy and slow to handle what’s coming.
He may not be wrong, he’s just willing to screw a shit ton of people to see his vision realized.
Global warning will cause a lot of migration away from equitorial and or low lying areas.
Step 1 stop migration.
Step 2 Invest in places global warming will make profitable. Trump wants to buy Greenland.
Step 3 Keep an edge by disrupting the competition. Closing the straight of Hormuz blocks the naval portion of China’s “Belt & Road” cutting off oil from China and blocking China’s bulk shipments to Europe.
