Massie had horrible polling for the past month at the least. This loss was very predictable. I supported him, but he was also more “national issues” oriented than “local issues” oriented. The elderly in his own district do not support him and showed up- in very practical terms he didn’t do enough to cut into that 65+ demographic. I do though think he has a future in Kentucky and on a larger level.
The “perpetually online” crowd on the internet often forgets that there are real world issues county to county and district to district that effect elections outcomes. Massie just didn’t do enough to get or keep votes this time around.
