I read about this a few days ago. It’s something like 3 billion male mosquitos they’re releasing to mate with the female mosquitos to control their population and disease.
I don’t remember ever voting for the change of the ecosystem

Mosquitoes are just the test, if it works they will put it in vaccines and give it to humans. Depopulation.

I’m in Michigan. Yes we have crazy mosquitoes but I have NEVER in my life seen anything like this year with mosquitoes and ticks. It’s absolutely insane. I sprayed my property and the wood line and there were literally black cloud swarms you could see of mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are the only Apex Predator on Earth, of the 110 – 115 billion people who passed through Earth, meaning born, lived, died. It’s estimated that 50 billion were killed by mosquitoes. Even Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about them.

Which besides the google part is a very normal and relatively common thing to do. And while I havent researched it all, I assume theres a logical reason google is associated

SS – Google is seeking an experimental use permit from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for a mosquito-control project involving male Culex quinquefasciatus mosquitoes. The [Federal Register notice ](https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/05/06/2026-08808/pesticide-experimental-use-permit-receipt-of-application-comment-request-december-2025?utm_source=chatgpt.com)lists the submitter as “Google LLC” and identifies the pesticide chemical as “Wolbachia pipientis wAlbB Contained in Live Adult Culex quinquefasciatus Male Mosquitoes (DQB Strain).”
