YouTube Music will recommend some Forgotten Favorites and it’ll be:

    -A meme song I haven’t watched in 5 years because it’s a meme song

-My favorite song I haven’t listened to this year yet

-A song I listened to for the first time last week

Bit odd that everyone is caught up on non-trinitarianism when debating whether Mormons should count as Christians. Jehovah’s Witnesses might be considered heretics by a typical Christian, but their beliefs are rooted in the same scripture and tradition, even if their theological conclusions are different. Their christology isn’t even without precedent; the only reason the Nicene Creed exists in the first place is because of how widespread Arianism was in the Fourth Century.

Mormons, however, believe in a whole new cosmology: God was once a man; a pre-mortal life where humans, Jesus, and the Devil are all brothers; a war in heaven over free will; many inhabited worlds whereover the faithful will ascend to become gods in their own right. These beliefs are not reinterpretations of the Bible, they have nothing to do with historical Christianity; they come from the brand new divine revelations made to Joseph Smith.

There’s probably some American context here where the label Christianity has desirable connotations as the religious in-group.

    On next week’s episode:
    >Do Christians and Karaites count as Jews when they both reject the Talmud?

I like submarines and planes but its kinda sad seeing so much of the innovation in both is mainly for killing people.

    >Are US Treasuries becoming a financial chokepoint?
A haven asset for the financial system is becoming a source of risk

This is slightly concerning given that the risk-free nature of the US treasury bond is a crucial part of the global financial and monetary system (it upholds the dominance of the dollar as reserve currency).

Also the US treasury relying on more short-term debt and treasury holders being higher risk than before (hedge funds instead of central banks) means that any kind of shock that rapidly increases interest rates poses an even bigger challenge.

The article also addresses deflationary demographic forces as a source of ever increasing debt burdens, which is a big part of the modern “secular stagnation” hypothesis.

  6. Therapy’s a month away, so here are some unhinged impulsive thoughts:

Using ice-cream as a metaphor (for gender not race), I’ve never had ice-cream (outside of the home-made stuff) but I’ve always wanted to have chocolate ice-cream. ideally from only one company. Unfortunately no-one is offering me chocolate ice-cream and it doesn’t look like I’m getting chocolate ice-cream in the foreseeable future. Sure I’m opening to try vanilla but only from one-particular brand (cause all the others look meh, sorry follow vanilla’s) but that company is only interested in serious contractual obligations, no taste testing allowed. I don’t know if I could upkeep, for all I know I might dislike vanilla or I might like vanilla but I don’t have any perspective with chocolate, so I fear, I’ll view the relationship as a second prize to what I really wanted, to something I may end up not liking. Also can I trust myself not to throw it away, just for the opportunity for some chocolate. Honestly, I don’t know.

I know the right/safest action, is to not to do anything and wait for chocolate. Yet, I still hanker for some ice-cream, even though I don’t know I will like it… Though if the company wanted me to, I’d try hopping in a cone for them.

Oh no, I’m currently for prodding contract terms over text.

    Some additional context:

I present as vanilla but maybe deep down I’m Neapolitan, but I don’t care enough to become Neapolitan. To further iterate the Neapolitan. If I woke up one day as Chocolate, I wouldn’t desire becoming Vanilla (that’s what I feel) and at the moment I don’t desire becoming chocolate. In fact If I was Chocolate I would feel a lot more comfortable about the contractual obligations with the vanilla company.

Not to mention, family-wise support for VanillaXVanilla is shaky at best (insert every reply about me needing to burn my social bridges).

Holy fuck, I did not know Tucker Carlson believes that George Floyd’s murder was “faked” and he somehow actually died of an opioid overdose.

I don’t even know what to say. It is literally on video. Good God these people are simply heinous.

Credible sources say it’s over. Good think I don’t trust the experts.
