In the days since Anthony was found guilty of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, social media has been flooded with videos of b**ck individuals hunting down random white people and accusing them of serving on the “Karmelo jury.” The problem? Most of these victims had nothing to do with the trial, which took place in Collin County, Texas — not Florida or wherever the attackers happen to be.

One widely shared video shows a b**ck woman in Florida walking up to a seated white man and punching him in the face while screaming that he served on the jury that convicted Anthony. The man wasn’t on the jury. He couldn’t have been. The trial wasn’t even in Florida.

These aren’t isolated incidents. They’re part of a growing pattern where racial grievance is weaponized to justify violence against random strangers.
