As an european conservative, uhm yes obviously. For decades now. I’ve seen it happening, budget cut after budget cut, ofcourse the brass was protesting but hey who needs them anyways? Oh wait we do need them. Europe needs to get their act together, and pronto. Secure the borders, stop the mass immigration and for god’s sake build a proper army. My 2 cts amen.

Counterpoint: Europe is poor. Not just the bureaucratic hive in the middle of it.

    >Healey told Starmer in a letter that the government’s Defense Investment Plan falls “well short of what is required at this dangerous time.”

The occupation of UK was what the UK Conservative Party did with their jackpot mandate, people voted for Labour because they assumed all change was good. The change they got was *moreso.*

    >Starmer has pledged to boost U.K. defense spending to 2.5% of gross domestic product by 2027 and 3% by 2035. But many in the military say that isn’t fast enough.

One of the countless things USA does for people is let them join the military to get out of bumfuck, and then they come away with training and experience to rival a lot of middle aged people while they’re still at the top of their prime years. This is open to vast quantities of people and it returns vast quantities of trained+experienced people.

When a vanishing portion of a smaller economy is invested, that’s less of an option.

Reddit microscopes that one vet who comes home to commit a crime (while ignoring the rest of the criminals) and extrapolates that man to falsely represent the whole.
