>President Trump announced Sunday that the U.S. had reached a deal with Iran. But the details of the deal have not been formally released. Both sides electronically signed the memorandum of understanding earlier this week, and a signing ceremony is expected to be held Friday.

>Asked about the delay in releasing the agreement, Vance said Qatari and Pakistani negotiators, who helped mediate the agreement, “asked us not to release the full text for a little while.” But he said “we’re actually trying to push them to get it out today.”
So we only have an MOU that leads to talks, but we’re not bombing, we’re insisting Israel stop retaliation against Hezbollah, but Iran keeps attacking… Somehow this does not seem like winning.
I’m bothered by this enormously because I’ve been able to soundly support almost all other moves Trump has made. This just seems like he’s trying to balance too much and not willing to sacrifice somethings to get the best outcome in the long term.

From NYP, yikes.
Among the biggest changes was the removal of the sentence, “The Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates that it will never produce nuclear weapons.”
The new text now softens the language — saying “The Islamic Republic of Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program.”
