Submission statement: I wanted to share my love of OHIO with the sub. Ohio has given America many great things. Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, and John Glenn, the first American in space, were OHIOANS. Glenn was a democratic senator as well! We also gave the country Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan. John Brown lived here for a while and first publicly declared he would fight against slavery in an Ohio church, and Ohio was also an important part of the underground railroad as well as the state that gave the highest percentage of soldiers to the Union cause and had the highest support for abolitionism. We also voted for Obama twice, which is unfortunately the last time we voted right. Needless to say, there is still hope for Ohio’s future!
