I reached out to The Box nightclub for comment on my story about their deep ties to Jeffrey Epstein. I also asked them about the troubling footage I acquired of one of their main performers talking about the fact that he was allowed to put on shows "about pedophilia."
Instead of answering any of my questions, they sent me a cease-and-desist claiming that the footage I acquired was copyrighted and they threatened me with up to $150,000 in statutory damages. They didn't provide me with a copyright registration number upon request, which is needed to collect such damages. They were given an opportunity to explain themselves and instead tried to intimidate me into permanently deleting the footage of their performer talking "about pedophilia."
