This is an insane thing that i’ve stumbled onto last night. I don’t use the thread apps, but I made an account years ago when the app first came out when you’re going through your Instagram homepage every now and then a popular tweet or whatever shows up on your homepage I clicked it on accident and I kept scrolling because I forgot about the app.
Then I started seeing children are posting on this app. Using the terms “bmf” and “nfs?” looking for new people to talk to. they are posting their ages, where they live, where they go to school and some of them are posting their phone numbers. Their comments are flooded with grown men commenting disgusting things on them.
there is also a “dating threads” section of the app where once again little kids are posting themselves on giving details about their life and grown men are commenting trying to message them.
now it only gets worse because as I continue to go down this rabbit hole, I see little girls. TODDLERS anywhere between the ages 3 to 8, in some cases, it seems the parents are exploiting them, and other cases it’s just weirdos posting pictures of children. comment sections are filled of people asking for their telegram and using the pizza emoji “🍕”
Meta claims to have safety features for children on Facebook and Instagram or anyone under the age of 13 but there are no safety features for the thread apps and kids of all ages are on their posting themselves not realizing what they’re doing and what kind of content they’re making for these pedophiles. and then there are adults, exploiting their children and other pedophiles finding each other and sharing, whatever sick things they found.
Ihave a few screenshots and post that I’m going to share and blur out the users and pictures of children because I am so sick to my stomach
no, I just want to say I am aware some of these may be spam or bots but, this is also very real I am not clicking on any of these telegram links because I don’t want to see anything whether it’s real or not but I know that this is real and kids are in danger and the fact that Meta is letting this continue and that I’m sure there are innocent parents that have no idea what’s going on in this app. People need to know. so children can be safe. PLEASE help me share this. I have never touched the app before last night really and I so easily was able to stumble across it. Searching the terms. “BMF, bmf, Nfs and NFS” if you scroll long enough, you can find kids posting themselves and grown men in there comments. You can’t however, search the “🍕” and that seems how a lot of them are interacting with each other and trying to share this content.
I apologize if any of this is worded badly I’ve been so frustrated with this and I’ve had nobody to share this with. I just want these kids to get the help they need and the app Threads NEEDS to be completely deleted

Super old problem. On Instagram as well. I tried to “clean up” as a mission by reporting like a maniac but after hundreds of reported posts, comments and accounts maybe 6 got yeeted. All a bit sus.
It’s unfortunate but I actually see this a lot. The mega-rich companies don’t give a crap and have zero morals. I’m sure they know it’s happening too. Really sad

Threads and Twitter both. It’s a widely known problem, and since Zuck and Musk aren’t doing anything about it, I would call them actively complicit in child abuse.
