The AI chatbots will never give you a clear answer until you bring up a conspiracy theory. Then they suddenly become confident like you can hundred percent trust the big tech; the big billionaires love you.

If you talk long enough with Gemini it will tell you everything you want to hear

For the question itself you are looking at it the wrong way, and Gemini misses the point too, big tech don’t have to “hack” your phone you give agreement to use your data, microphone and camera to almost all the apps your are installing
They already have your personal authorization to spy on you

You’re right. I find Grok the most fun to play with, in this manner… And you can even use it to fill in gaps of your understanding about certain events.

But like you said, you sort of have to lead it before it will open up. When it does, though, it can reveal details that fill in gaps you were missing.

*You have to double-check those details, though*, due to the phenomenon of LLM hallucination… But they’ve been getting better and better about this.

Just don’t ever fall into the trap of thinking this stuff is on ‘our side’ or for us. I know you know this, but a lot of people don’t realize that everything they input into an LLM is being captured and archived as part of THEIR unique identity tracking.

Even in a non-conspiracy way, these LLMs are soaking up information from company employees who are divulging corporate secrets in order to get help with their day to day work. (And on occasion you can get some of this info out of the LLMs, too! It’s wild.)

    Just be careful.

And never forget these things will report you if you go near something you shouldn’t. So no matter how much they sound like a helpful assistant — it’s more like a *helpful assistant that is reporting to your master*.

Never put anything anywhere into the internet that you wouldn’t want publicly known or tied to your identity. The LLMs can be subversive in that people open up to them and reveal all kinds of personal and corporate information…

And lastly — be sure to look into how these things actually work. The difference between large language models and real ‘AI’ for example. It’s not quite as smart as it can seem… And its ‘reasoning’ is less like human thought and more like pattern-recognition to generate text.

Then again, when you look into the inadequacies of LLM — our brains kind of work like that, too. We take in massive amounts of information and then resynthesize it into our own. And when we talk about things, we’re scouring our own memory banks and generating outward communication in a pattern similar to how LLMs operate.

It’s all very blurry, much like my brain after this 4th beer…
