  1. They hate that Trump’s really only in this to grift be the center of attention instead of actually doing the Nazi shit they really want him to do.

Even back in Trump 1 the conservative ideologues were frustrated with Trump’s incompetence and lack of idealogical coherence. He doesn’t have the focus, consistency, or basic knowledge of how the government works to implement an agenda, and from their pov by hitching their wagon to him they’ve basically wasted two terms.

**Submission Statement:** Young Republican activists are turning against Trump. Many of the GenZ coalition of Republican men (almost all men btw), who turned sharply rightward in 2024, are now feeling burnt by him. They feel Trump has not upheld his promise of “America First”. Between Epstein and Iran, many are seeing Trump’s words as hollow.

The key point is that these young men are not moving left. They aren’t even moderating. Instead, encouraged by radical figures such as Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, Candice Owens, and a parade of Twitter activists with anime or Roman statue PFPs, they are doubling down on MAGA’s vision of an white, christian ethnostate, ruled by men for men, with the goal of ridding America of liberal democracy.

Trump may have opened the door for these kinds of politics to enter the mainstream, but to many GenZ conservatives Trump is no longer the anti-establishment outsider; he is the establishment. He’s become the swamp he promised to drain.
