While I don't have an issue with casting Lupita as Helen, coz it's an adaptation of a character, I do know and have heard from more intelligent people in the industry that movies are large scale ritual elements aimed at subliminal messaging and audience prep for a brave new world.
Frankly, I recently went to a play here in Connecticut, and the Romeo was a transgender white man and Juliet was a transgender woman who was black. But this is a stage play – and they did their job very well and they managed to captivate the audience, including me.
We all play dress-up – I personally played Othello and recited all of it in a college play and I'm not black. So in this sense, I am going to see it and all the internet attacks on Luptia are just cruel and stupid. You don't wanna waste your anger on an actor doing her job – be mad at the elite who are protecting Epstein's clients – we can all agree there, right?
But the larger picture here is the dissolution of nation states, and that anybody can be anybody – what has been largely ignored is that there are Chinese, Mexican and Indian actors who are playing "Greeks" on that boat – and all the anger seem to be focused on Lupita and Zendaya.
Telemachus is a nephilim – odysseus is also nephilim – these are the renowned men of old in Genesis 6 – there is no sugarcoating that. Yet nobody is angry about Tom Holland (who is like 5 foot 2 I think) playing a nephilim prince – what the adaptation is doing is it is de-mythologizing the concept of "giants" and it's also indulging in some form of soft erasure of the whole ethos behind the stories of the Illiad and Odyssey – where a people like the Israelites are powering through an epic story – in this case, the destruction of Troy (where child sacrifice and worship of the gods who are enemies of the Hebrew God were very prevalent)
In a way, the Greeks (the term coined by the Romans) are the ones who are losing their identity – as Europe is in the process of losing its identity.
If you are to return to the times of the Annunaki where there was an oppressing master celestial class ruling from the skies – and a slave class working for them from the soil – you have to dehomogenize nations, homogenize the whole planet and eradicate nation states.
DEI and ESG have run into roadblocks but they need to return to eradicate nation states, and they will only return if there is a campaign like the rampant mockery of the odyssey, esp the actors who play them reaches fever pitch that DEI and equity will be seen as the only solution against the "racists" (most of whom have been exposed as foreign bot farms time and again)
Classic hegelian dialect in the culture war. The image in this post is created by AI I think or it's in the trailer, I am not sure – but it's getting widely mocked and the mockers are playing right into the hegel's concept of the dialectic.

I don’t care if she’s black. I care if she’s a good actor.
