  1. Submission statement:
Kamala Harris published a post talking about the ramifications of Louisiana v. Callais gutting the Voting Rights Act and how we should respond in the short term (check that you are ready to vote, but voting alone will not solve this), the medium term (pay attention to local elections as you do to presidential elections), and the long term (“Democrats need to grow a backbone, and we cannot be afraid to have a conversation about systemic reforms to restore voting rights.”).

As the 2024 presidential candidate and one of the front-runners in polling for 2028, Harris’s positions are likely to affect what Democrats support, do, and talk about leading up to and following the upcoming midterm elections.

    >I have been saying that it is time for a no-bad-ideas brainstorm.

I absolutely hate anybody who says this. There is no shortage of ideas. They’re worthless. Execution is what matters.

It’s all born from some weird fetishization of of impactful individuals, where all the stories are some bullshit are like “all <insert super rich person> started with was a **radical idea** that **nobody liked**, but it was so cool and sweet and radical that they became a bajillionaire and hero and everything you’ve ever wanted to be”.
