    Adding submission statement. OP, we typically require submission statements, but no one who submitted this story made one. You were first.

    Of interest to sub because it both reflects and could have implications for US/Israel relations and foreign policy. While it might not change the Trump Admin’s actions, it could continue to push the Democratic Party away from Israel.

    Pretty surreal to wake up and read that my representative was held hostage (the headline definitely soft-pedals it) for 90 minutes by fanatical men with guns.

  3. Our alliance with this country is not sustainable. Certainly true for the Dems and I don’t think the GOP will be willing to fight all that hard for it either in light of the Iran debacle and their increasingly antisemitic and isolationist outlook

    Submission  statement:relevant  to the sub as its a US representative getting detained by Israeli settlers, it is apart of the I/P conflict and the settler movement in Israel.
