It no longer really matters. The southern corridor is now open, and Saudi pipelines are being opened up that completely bypass Hormuz as well. Oil is flowing and Iran has lost its negotiating power. They can join the world as a reasonable nation, they had a chance to make some money with the oil flowing through Hormuz but they have given that up. Their other option now is they can keep trying to become a nuclear power, but that will juat get them smacked. Them trying to stay relevant with the strait is a losing battle.
