  1. 1) summary: Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda says he does not believe a secret CIA detention facility operated near Vilnius and sees no reason to reopen the investigation. His remarks follow a third European Court of Human Rights ruling against Lithuania, which found that Saudi detainee Abd Al Rahim Hussein al-Nashiri had been secretly held in the country. Although Lithuanian investigations found no direct evidence that prisoners were transported there, the ECHR has repeatedly concluded that Lithuania hosted a CIA ‘black site.’
    2) How is this related to the sub: I believe that ECHR is an institution upholding liberal values across Europe and its authority should not undermined. Furthermore, European heads of states should not spread misinformation for their personal gain or for appeasing the US.

2a) What do you think of the issue at hand: ridiculously stupid.
