Truth is it’s hard for me to care if this goes through or not. Yes, fewer studios likely means more enshittification of movies and TV. But they’re already so horrific that I can’t see how much worse things can get.
What I would like to see is entire new studios pop up that let (gasp!!) actual new ideas, and conservatives, stand behind and distribute films on a national scale.

Many of these same groups were cheering for Netflix to win the bid for Warner, which could have been more damaging. I also don’t remember nearly as much of this crazy anger when Disney bought Fox a few years ago.
