What if the real psyop is making us think myths and such were real rather than reflections of humanity’s psychology?

We like to think that looking into deep alternative theories makes us free-thinkers who see through a controlled narrative, but honestly, if you step back and look at how these massive rabbit holes actually work, it’s kind of the opposite.

Think about the theories where an all-powerful, hidden elite is allegedly hiding massive, reality-bending secrets from the public. What does believing that actually do for us? It just leaves us totally helpless. It frames the world as a place controlled by this untouchable force, which gives you a perfect excuse to do absolutely nothing. You just end up sitting behind a screen, scrolling through content that feeds your paranoia, totally frozen in a state of distraction.

The trap isn't hiding whatever “secret” people are chasing, the trap is giving people a sense of “in the know” which perpetuates distracted consumption and complacency that soothes the feeling of helplessness it also generates.

Historically, humans used myths, metaphors, and stories as psychological maps. Tales about conquering monsters or facing the dark weren't literal historical events, they were frameworks for overcoming internal chaos, building resilience, and developing personal strength. They taught people how to face different issues in their lives and master themselves.

Is it so crazy to assume that the psyche of humanity is similar across the species as our bodies are, and that could be why so many myths, religions, cultures, and traditions share similar motifs despite no cross contamination?

When people insist on taking those ancient metaphors literally, they strip away the only part of the story that actually matters: its usefulness for personal growth. They trade self-awareness and real-world agency for a fantasy that keeps them small but feeling falsely superior.

If a system actually wanted to neutralize a crowd of truth-seekers it wouldn't want them developing deep self-mastery, sharp logic, or emotional independence. It would want them chasing unprovable, reality-detached ghosts. It keeps our eyes fixed entirely outward, so we never think to look inward and realize our own potential.

The same could be said about theories involving “Masonic” or similar topics that rely heavily on symbolism. Maybe we are meant to keep thinking the use of such symbols are orchestrated with the purpose of a literal meaning so we keep feeling helpless and consuming all sorts of stuff, when really it’s just an unconscious use of a symbol that reflects something psychologically and is a signal for that need for growth and development in that context, for both the person that used it and the person that noticed it. Noticing a symbol can be an opportunity for self-reflection and development rather than paranoia.

Crazy idea.

Myths are by definition not real and a reflection of human psychology.

It’s not a psyop, it’s just grifters using religion or superstition to manipulate gullible people into giving them money.

It’s not crazy. Demanding the scenario you are proposing be logical is a step a lot of people miss here. Sure, you can fill in blanks with anything you want, and I’m sure people who do hold power love to be equated with quasi divine geniuses that control everything. But when have we seen that happen in history? When have we seen anything even close to that level of control or some Svengali like understanding of psychology that lets you predict human behavior?

We have never seen it. But humans like to invent stories. We do it about ourselves everyday. We couldn’t function without it. If you aren’t aware of this your stories will consume you.

thats kind of what the occult is all about. Decoding the ancient wisdom through symbolism and metaphor. Its how these stories survived so long. Elite fools not understanding the arts

Magic and spirituality is real, but if we’re being more scientific its just the power of the mind. These belief systems help structure and navigate these planes in a way that makes sense the each respective culture

the egregore is a good example of the collective power of the mind

    the letter kills the word

mythology is allegorical and follows the mystery language of natural correspondences in the tropical zodiac

I believe the same , specifically for races such as goblins, elfs etc. It would be weird that while on other species there are many alternatives but for humans it’s just us.

“It keeps our eyes fixed entirely outward, so we never think to look inward and realize our own potential.”

    Spot on.

I believe when the people realise their worth and utilise their potential, we will then break the curse. We create our own world, but we need to start from within ourselves. Love this reflection, thanks for sharing.
