      Ngl, I kinda hate how all narratives around load bearing pillars of society suppose that said pillar must be so awesome that society became soft, lazy, and dependent on them.

      In real life, said pillars are almost always tyrants who deliberately destroy alternatives to force society to be dependent on them. Like Leto II except without any plan for what happens when they die.

      It’s actually a crucial strategy for any aspiring dictator to purge all competent leaders in his administration so that he’s the only semi-competent man left.

      A Real Life Gojo or All Might would be doing all in his power to destroy competitors so that society has to pander to his whims. That’s what the historical record shows.

      We rightfully prohibit people from using their phones while driving because it’s distracting, and yet most modern car companies are slapping giant iPads in the middle of their dashes and putting every single entertainment and climate control there.

      Less safe and way more expensive to fix than replacing a simple plastic button. It’s so stupid.

      Hell, the BMW Neue Klasse interior has a touch screen in front of the front passenger seat. Why??? In case they get bored of looking at their phone???
