Trump’s initial blanket tariffs were dumb as fuck and did a lot of trade relationship damage. Howeverrrrr, two things can be true at the same time… Canada appears to have been caught red handed on this one.
If you want to clutch your USMCA pearls, you can’t limit a trade partners exports to your country AND THEN increase other partners out of spite while proclaiming you didn’t raise tariffs.

I mean, Canada’s liquor stores are govt run, and they have pulled all US whiskey off their shelves since Trump took office. Which removes a market for products like Jack Daniels and bourbon. For that alone, they deserve to be sanctioned.
Also, close the new Gordie Howe bridge any day that there is bad air quality due to Canadian wildfires. They would sort that sh-t out real quick.
