SS: Over a hundred scientists have resigned recently from India’s state-run space agency ISRO. Last week, Indian space start-up Skyroot independently developed and launched a rocket into orbit in its first attempt. The author correlates it with the rise of India’s private space sector and considers it a success of the space reforms implemented through the Indian Space Policy 2023 which liberalised the industry by expanding the role of the private sector to all aspects of space services instead of previously being restricted to manufacturing only.
