In terms of government yes, the right and left parties are more often than not constructed opposition that exists to give voters the illusion of choice while the ruling class continues to maintain its power.
In terms of actual political practice they could not be more different. And on top of that both the constructed right and left of the government tend to be both be differing degrees of right while the actual left is homeless in terms of official representation
