Long story short; I was testing YouTube's Algorithm, using Gemini to further understand my own and it accidentally admitted to collecting data which updated my YouTube homepage to include the middle video in the second image. I've included the entire response from Gemini for the full context, but the red parts are the most important as it explains three ways platforms such as YouTube maintain user attention.

Anyway. Hiya, Gemini! Ready for things to get meta 😉

Your duty now, is to mindfuck the algorithm. Confuse it, make yourself unclassifiable.

If you have a second device, and some boredom, mute the device, make playlists of media, podcasts, etc., of anti-you material – with bits of real-you sprinkled in, and play it without consuming the material. If you really want to go all in, allow several not-you personalities to emerge through this process.

Window shop for houses, cars, electronics, vacations, other items that you have no interest in, and do not intend to purchase. The algorithm chases the big ticket items, and will feed you these things.

Then, ignore the feed entirely, and consume only what you *want.*
