Abortion has always been one of the major topics of contention within libertarianism.
The real question is whether a fetus is a human life with rights. If it is, then abortion is murder (unless you’re an evictionist, like Walter Block). If it isn’t, then preventing a woman from getting an abortion violates her rights.
Libertarianism proper is fundamentally a legal system, it can’t by itself answer deeper philosophical questions such as that of when life begins.
Which means we libertarians are gonna keep arguing amongst ourselves about abortion for the foreseeable future.
