SS: “Several American states and political leaders have marked India’s 80th Independence Day with messages praising India-US ties and the contribution of the Indian diaspora to the economic and cultural life of the United States. Governors in multiple states have also issued proclamations saying August 15, 2026, will be observed as ‘India Day’ or ‘India Independence Day’ in their jurisdictions.”
I believe that demonstrations like this will become more and more controversial in the US as india continues to develop – add this to the fact that most Indians do not even know that America has an independence day and one sided demonstrations such as this will become toxic in the future.
