Everyone knows the Britney Spears "Baby One More Time" plaid skirt Mandela Effect situation. We all remember the skirt being plaid, but they now say it's simply black.

I was watching Gilmore Girls (I know, I know…. don't judge me) and the main character gets into a prestigious private school with a uniform. When her mom surprises her and asks her to guess the good news, she holds up her uniform plaid skirt and says, "I'm going to be in a Britney Spears music video?"

If Britney's skirt was black (like they claim), this tv show comment would make zero sense. Why would a plaid skirt cause the character to make this comment if the skirt was black? I find it interesting that the black skirt may be what exists now, but references to the plaid skirt still exists.

This was the pilot episode that was aired in 2000. I have a screen shot, but it won't let me upload it.

Well, was the rest of the uniform look similar to the music videos? I love these Mandela effects, but they’re just for funsies. This shit isn’t actually real. The reference still makes sense if the rest of the uniform is the same as the one in the video. Honestly, that’s the only way it makes sense. If she just put on a plaid skirt and said that, it wouldn’t make sense.

To be clear: I’ve never seen the show, but some of the proof for these things are a little silly. I could be wrong tho, and apologies if I am.

  2. Same with the headset/mic on the side of her face in the “Oops I did it again” video. Now they pretend it was never there lol. Even the dolls that were made had the mic.

The skirt was absolutely plaid. I remember being extremely turned on by her in that video and it was entirely due to her skirt.
