Yeah I think about this a lot. There’s a common saying that any technology that’s released to the public has been known and likely created by DARPA. I have no doubt in my mind that these “new” ai capabilities have been around for a minute.
It also begs the question: have we already reached a singularity? The rapid obsession with data centers kinda screams that the elite are following the instructions of an ai trying to gain more compute
