What if we are in a simulation, and the our sector of the world has to lower its graphic settings, because in the beginning there wasn't alot of us, but now we 8 billion and whomever is controlling the system has to lower the graphics settings and thats why all the buildings are starting to look the same and they had models selling us on "Black" goes with everything, because there is no vibrant colors that will take graphics ram, and cars in the 50s were very colorful and now, black, white, dark green, beige, gray. Remember Nokia phones every color, now all black or metallic. We are no longer individuals, but conformed into the system.

My thoughts driving down the road. Houses look ugly. Cars are all black, white gray. Open your phone and it’s a bunch of corpo icons you can’t breath without. it’s boring as fuck in here.
I would imagine production costs are cheaper for monochromatic things.
Because we have to be good little cattle and consume all the boring and depressing products.
Refinement culture. Look it up
A bunch of this is just Ai.
It’s for the same reason we no longer wear clothes from a century ago. Trends.
The Giver
Stop blackpilling. For the most part it’s a taste thing, people want “aesthetic” colours. Minimalism influenced us a lot. There’s also price.
In my opinion though, the world is as colourful as ever, you’ve just picked dull examples. Take phones for example, flip them over and every possible colour is on offer for phone back glass. Even new mixtures or styles which have probably never been seen before.
Someone let Melania redecorate the world… oops
Trend and shit changes just like 90’s moms picking between chicken, cows, or pig everything for their kitchen theme. It lost interest and faded away as it should. I’m all for color but some of it was gaudy as hell.
People get cases in color. No one sees the phone. The phone is the internal.
You’re gonna hate this but it’s pretty simple: money
