Submission statement: The sub has taken a keen interest in this policy given its populist appeal and it going against pretty basic market principles, raising loads of questions about hoarding, scalping and efficiency. This is yet another episode in what has been a fairly shaky rollout so far. Mamdani's team raised the idea of compensating neighboring businesses for the unfair competition, in what was labelled a food desert…but now they're suing.
