I predict that Iran will nonetheless continue to see the Peshemrga as a potential US proxy on its border, regardless of their plans or lack thereof to fight Iran, and it will work with Baghdad and perhaps Ankara to try to dismantle the autonomy of the Kurdistan Region before Trump leaves office.
