England had a drought. Cuba had an electricity black out. Gary, Indiana in the USA is having a black out. These data centers aren't just for AI, they are for the surveillance state. Tech CEOs themselves have called it a surveillance state. The centers are over-consuming water. Yet we have to stop drinking and using water to let their tech cool down. Evil.

Stop using AI and resist the surveillance state.

I can probably tolerate travelling and purchasing locally, and it would be a huge stretch to give up meat and take up eating bugs instead, but you gotta be shitting me when you say I should drink less. Those data centers should be running on saltwater instead of drinkable water. I can happily give up AI and even have degrowth for all I care, but FFS you don’t get to tell people to drink less.

  2. Yeah I get your drift – the timing is suspicious, but I’ve been saying for years that it really isn’t necessary to walk around clutching a bottle of water at all times to ‘stay hydrated’.

The human body is an incredibly advanced mechanism that doesn’t need topping up with fluids every 5 minutes.
