New day, new DT, still waiting for results from Iceland’s Southwest constituency

    >we should buy cheap Chinese goods to be able to buy missiles and ships to defend Taiwan, not improve things in the US.

I feel like too many here are so out of touch with how the average American feels about the country, because its not great currently, and its certainly been getting worse. The idea that we dont need to do something about it and thinking we do makes us “america firsters” is absurdism. We’re rapidly swinging between authoritarianism and liberalism currently, and its because people arent happy lol

  5. I feel really bad for Patrick Clancy. Guy must be made of infinite strength and compassion to be where he is and he’s rewarded with people picking him apart and blaming him for everything. The worst thing that can ever happen to anyone happened to him and he receives little sympathy. Discourse around this trial is just really terrible.

  6. iceland really should have renamed itself by now. it’s had so much time

    I suggest “trump island”

    From last year:

    >Jean Chretien is 91 today and he gave himself a birthday present. He told Donald J. Trump to piss off in the The Globe and Mail. Here’s his column:

    >  * * *

    >Today is my 91st birthday.

    >It’s an opportunity to celebrate with family and friends. To look back on the life I’ve had the privilege to lead. And to reflect on how much this country we all love so much has grown and changed over the course of the nine decades I’ve been on this Earth.

    >This year, I’ve also decided to give myself a birthday present. I’m going to do something in this article that I don’t do very often anymore, and sound off on a big issue affecting the state of the nation and profoundly bothering me and so many other Canadians: The totally unacceptable insults and unprecedented threats to our very sovereignty from U.S. president-elect Donald Trump.

    >I have two very clear and simple messages.

    >To Donald Trump, from one old guy to another: **Give your head a shake!** What could make you think that Canadians would ever give up the best country in the world – and make no mistake, that is what we are – to join the United States?

  8. Copy pasting DT comments to ChatGPT and asking it to make them funnier

In neoliberal fashion, I intend to automate this process and sell the app as a subscription service.

    I call it DT+

Recently moved to a smaller place, had to sell off my home gym, and I bought a couple kettlebells to replace it.

I gotta say, I regret looking down on them all these years! They’re actually great. I’m sure my main lifts have probably fallen, especially bench, but I feel very light and limber and flexible.

My workouts feel easier on my joints than they did before, my cardio seems to be better.

I raced my son at the park the other day and my running form suddenly felt good for the first time in years, even though I haven’t been doing any running. The ‘what the hell’ effect is real.

  10. !ping MOVIE

Ridley Scott’s psychosexual obsession with David the Android is something else man. At no point in watching either of those films did I regard him with any serious interest beyond the occasional “bro shut up” but he is so protective of that mfer
