It’s infuriating. I personally know someone from Venezuela who has a legitimate asylum claim because her brother in law criticized Maduro in a newspaper article they published. It resulted in her family being held at gunpoint at 3am by Maduro’s secret police and being told they have until sunrise to GTFO of the country or they will be shot.
These fake asylum claims result in actual asylum cases being thrown out in like a baby and the bathwater scenario when Trump revokes TPS for all Venezuelans.
