Still don’t understand why nobody talks about this.

Kanye West's concert in Tbilisi is being run by Live Nation Israel — and almost nobody online seems to know

Bit of an odd one that I don't see getting talked about much outside a handful of music-industry outlets.

Kanye ("Ye") played Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, Georgia in June, as part of the Starring Georgia initiative (wanted to buy tickets at first, thats how i ended on that article). Rolling Stone (and others) broke the story in May that the show was being handled through Live Nation Israel's regional network (internally rebranded "Live Nation Central Asia,"). Live Nation later said the show itself wasn't "officially" produced by them, but the people on the ground doing logistics were the same LN Israel team.

What I find genuinely strange is the disconnect: on X/TikTok/Instagram right now, the dominant narrative around Ye is still "he's anti-Israel" — that's basically the framing most people carry into any discussion about him. Meanwhile the actual concert industry story from a few months ago was the opposite: an Israeli-linked promoter quietly running his tour dates while other markets (London's Wireless Festival, a Polish date in Chorzów) canceled him outright over his antisemitic remarks.

Not trying to push a take here, just find it odd that this got real trade-press coverage in May and then basically vanished, while the public perception of the guy on social media hasn't caught up with it at all. Anyone else notice this gap, or was I just late to it?
