I fully believe a good majority of them will turn if the political tide changes. Whether they actually have a single liberal bone in their body or, for that matter, will not continue to, more discreetly, fund the far right is a whole different question.

I’m firmly of the opinion that these guys view AI as both a means to generate obscene wealth for themselves, and a surveillance and influence tool to monitor and prevent the sort of social unrest that has arisen from such dramatic wealth inequality in the past.
