Summary and my thoughts: Honestly as someone who considers myself “moderate” this reads like a lot of grasping at straws and meh ideas. Some interesting ideas however that I haven’t seen before like #17 the public college compact which envisions having the state, the university, the federal government and students take an equal share of the cost of college
But the main reducing costs section was a painful read for me. Small healthcare changes are not what people want, instead of subsidizing car loans how bout actual public infrastructure investments? #6 the Universal Child Care point seems completely unworkable in that it’s really just a statement of principle rather than an actual plan.
Basically this is a mess, but I’m glad someone is putting something out at least

I really just view this as a North Star policy template for eventual candidates in 2028 and for the possible democratic majority in the house for the next two years. We won’t get detailed stuff for a while, but it’s at least time to start fleshing things out.

“What if we address none of the root causes of our issues and subsidize more demand?”

“Let’s rip off the New Deal but make it sound 100% lamer.”
