Submission Statement: ISRO has successfully launched EOS-05 aboard GSLV-F17 from Sriharikota. EOS-05 is India’s first Earth-imaging satellite designed to operate from geosynchronous orbit. The roughly 2.4-tonne satellite was successfully placed into its intended transfer orbit. It will now use onboard propulsion to gradually raise and adjust its orbit. Once operational, EOS-05 will add a new geosynchronous imaging capability to India’s Earth-observation fleet.
