Even the severely mentally ill who may have a very difficult time working, if you can find something that makes them feel like they are helping in some little way, it does wonders for their mental health and self-esteem… so many of them are very ashamed of themselves.
We can’t force every one of them to work for a bed, and we shouldn’t, but democrats have stolen the feeling of accomplishment from so many people by just giving them money and letting them not work.
Part of our mental health crisis in this country is that not enough people are working, including younger people. Parents don’t know how to make kids do chores and so many teenagers don’t even try to get a job until they are done with school entirely.
