Hmm – I’m not sure I agree that someone who had busted their ass to carve out a career as an author or actor or singer or athlete or whatever is suddenly obligated to speak out about our elected politicians. Especially those already experiencing record low poll numbers. What’s the threshold of fame below which you’re allowed to just focus on your career?

The problem is celebrities need to work too.
As soon as the good ones speak out they’ll be blacklisted by the more powerful. The ones who do speak out, usually do so within advocacy groups so the backlash doesnt come back as harshly.
