From the late 1800s into the early 1900s, cities across the world hosted massive exhibitions filled with palaces, domes, canals, statues and electrical technology.
These grounds often looked more advanced and elaborate than the cities surrounding them. They opened for several months, attracted millions of visitors, and were then demolished, abandoned or destroyed by fire.
The conventional account says they were temporary exhibition buildings. But the pattern raises a different possibility: the fairs may have been used to give inherited architecture an official origin story before eliminating it.
Assign each building a modern architect. Publish a construction narrative. Display the new industrial system inside it. Bring the public through. Then remove the physical evidence.

I quite enjoy this arena of research.
Much of the ‘Old World’ does seem rather superhuman, given the technology reportedly available at the time. These old cities (all of them, never mind just the ‘World’s Fair’ cities), are just as impressive logistically as the Great pyramids, in my opinion.
There are many seeming contradictions in the official narratives: cities built (and rebuilt) in record time, ghost architects, weird dates, the massive amount of ‘Great Fires’ in that era that seem to be echoes of a hidden ‘War of the Worlds’.

There is an alternative historian whose work I enjoy reading, named [Jef de Molder](https://jefdemolder.blogspot.com/2021/04/where-we-come-from.html), who thinks (and he is not alone in this) that there was a great world cataclysm that happened around 1300/1350 or so, that annihilated the Old World (others say around 930 to 1000), and that all the great cycloplean stone architecture was literally the work of ‘Titans’ and the later ‘Greco-Roman’ architecture was built by a second generation of ‘Gods’ (and thus, are not human constructions). In his theory, humans were first semi-intelligent cattle (ie. created and bred for food and service), and later being emancipated somewhat (after a threshold of human intelligence was crossed) becoming slaves in the more modern sense. After the cataclysm, the ‘Gods’ disappeared or went into hiding, and humans were ‘free’. In this theory, the 1400s was the time of ‘picking up the pieces’, and human civilization only really began in earnest in the 1500’s (and we’ve been largely at war for power ever since). The theory is that all history before 1600 or so is entirely made up (and much of it perhaps written by ‘Gods’ and not men, in order to act as a sort of education and a puzzle to be solved, so that we can eventually come into our own). Furthermore, there was a time of ‘demigods’ (part-‘divine’ human offspring) that still lived in the early ‘human’ times (de Molder lists people like da Vinci and Napoleon as such potential figures), who still showed some of the high capability and potency of the old races that most modern humans lack, but that this strain has become ever more diluted as time goes on.

People have been building with stone since ancient times.
That people don’t know they had cranes and pulleys and wood framing and scaffolding and such to create these stone buildings, and lots of ropes, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It took years to create these buildings. Hundreds sometimes.
Old world wood furnishings are much more beautiful and advanced than anything we have in the new world.
Just because we can’t do it, because there’s no more specialists, stone masons, master carvers and carpenters, doesn’t mean there never was.

This would make zero sense.
In virtually every case the World’s Fair locations were well-known and well-documented before and after the construction of the venue.
Add in that if the purpose is to secretly demolish ancient architecture, for whatever nonsensical reason, then opening them to the public and international media is the exact worst choice to make. Why make a spectacle when one could bulldoze it and build a highway much more easily?
