At what point does insider trading get looked into? It's not legal and yet people like this can be worth 265 Million Dollars while making an average of 174k a year? She's old but she isn't 1,522

The thing is, they can own stocks. There’s no law against that. They can overhear and see things. If I overhear some big stock tip, and buy into it, am I insider trading? If I make a big bet on a game, and then I overhear some owner at an airport about their star player not being available, am I not allowed to change my bet? It’s just for the people that leak this info out.
It’s just we trust them not to enrich themselves by obscene margins, the laws need updating. Half of them are doing it. Think prosecuting Pelosi will make it all right again? That’s like pagans sacrificing for a good harvest. Gl with that.

Insider trading is when you use privledged information in your company to make money. It’s not illegal to use your political position to manipulate the market and laws for your own personal benefit. It should be, but its not classified as insider trading. Congress has made sure to not close that “loophole”. And trump does the same shit to a much larger and obvious degree
