  1. it is better to a spend a joke now in pursuit of the heat and power of the new rising dt, and to watch it flare with untold upvotes and attention, than to inauthentically spend it in pursuit of a meager six or seven upvotes for a hollow defeat against rising sun of the temporary morning

here’s hoping that the new iphone duo is a huge success, and that the new boxy form-factor gets popular, so as a butterfly effect eventually vertical video and all the doom scrolling vertical video apps die

Started reading a liminal horror book. It takes place in Quebec, the most liminal location of course.

Strong opinion warning. Link’s outfit is a green tunic, a green hat, a sword and a shield, and he plays an instrument. This is who Link is, and they can change whatever they want for the new games in the series, but they will not change my mental image of Link. He’s also left handed, but that got changed in Skyward Sword.

  5. I’m too lazy to do this, but if someone wants to have AI make a picture of Donald Trump being carried away from a fire by 2 firemen who look like Charlie Kirk and then caption it “We carry the flame”, you’ll probably get a lot of upvotes.

The year is 2029. OpenAI has just published a proof of the Riemann Hypothesis. Internet users debate furiously over whether or not this constitutes actual intelligence.

  7. The last couple years I’ve had a bunch of medical issues, unexpected life expenses, depression, my credit rating going to crap, I hate my job, and I’m stressed 24/7.

    Anyways, happy 9/11 everyone.

  8. If AI companies recruited polling agencies to conduct a massive representative poll to choose between two options:

    1. AI is too powerful and poses an existential risk. We should regulate AI and slow down research.

    2. Existential risk is AI marketing scam and regulations are Monopoly/rent seeking. Don’t fall for it. Let them compete sans regulation.

Which one do you think wins?

    >We identified a cell of threat actors based in northern Yemen running three weapons development programs: a guided rocket that used a commodity phone-class flight computer with final-phase homing guidance; a multi-stage ballistic missile with a stated range goal above 2,000 km; and a multi-variant missile (referred to as the “R2000” set) that included a hypersonic glide vehicle variant.

    >The actors used Claude Code in place of human software engineers to develop the guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) software that steers and stabilizes a flying vehicle.

Claude, sieze the Bab al-Mandab and cut the flow of Red Sea oil; make no mistakes
