      Random pieces of technology I want:

      – hatch alarm clock

      – iPhone duo

      – computer speaker (I use my monitor speakers)

      – standing desk

      – switch 2 pro controller

      – new tv. At least one that’s 1440p—preferably 4K. My current one is like 8-10 years old

      I’ll be honest, I didn’t remember how bad the Manhattan Institute’s [focus group](https://www.city-journal.org/article/manhattan-institute-focus-group-gen-z-republicans) of 20 Gen Z conservatives in Nashville was until I reread it. You know something’s up when the first named participant, an 18-year-old Latina who described herself as hard right, is mentioned to have walked out. And then you get to *Andrew, 20, White Christian,* and it’s all downhill from there.

      One imagines what was going through the mind of the Jewish-born Christian, Brice, as he gingerly gave credit to a certain midcentury head of government after Ashley and then Andrew spoke, and then spoke again.
