photos from the war with Iran: “Severe damage kept from the American public”

As we have documented, it is clear that the American public has not yet been informed of the extensive damage caused by Iranian retaliation to American bases in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East since the start of Trump's Operation "Epic Fury".

In the same week that the long-awaited Pentagon and War Department inspector general's report covering the first four months of the war with Iran was released, new leaked photos of previously unknown damage to the bases emerged.

"New photos, exclusively obtained by CBS News, reveal for the first time extensive damage and destruction to buildings and vehicles at several US positions across the Middle East as a result of Iranian missile and drone strikes," CBS reported Tuesday.  Below is a picture from Prince Sultan AFB in Saudi Arabia:
The media reports that the photos were provided by US soldiers under strict secrecy and anonymity – as the Pentagon tries to crack down on soldiers who disclose the extent of the damage and in the context of orders aimed at maintaining operational security.  However, critics claim that the Pentagon and the Trump administration are committing secrecy and propaganda.

"This is significant damage to our bases that the American public was not informed about," an anonymous soldier currently deployed in the field told CBS News.

The soldier added: "We're standing there with our eyes closed and getting hit in the face."

The following information comes from Camp Arifjan in Kuwait:
Recent Iranian attacks on bases in Jordan have continued intermittently in recent weeks, and some experts have warned that American personnel who remain there are essentially easy targets.

The volleys of ballistic missiles from Iran are only getting stronger, as in the last major attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan on the night of September 8-9.

On Monday, a newly released report by the Pentagon's inspector general said that "hundreds" of buildings and structures were destroyed at American bases…

"During the conflict, Iranian strikes damaged and destroyed hundreds of buildings and structures at US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan."
Not only the bases were directly hit, especially during the first weeks of the Epic Fury operation – consulates, embassies and intelligence service buildings were also targeted, which suffered damage.

"US diplomatic facilities in four countries – Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – suffered physical damage as a result of Iranian attacks," the Pentagon admitted.

According to an earlier analysis by Amerikanets: "After destroying a large part of the radar network protecting the regional bases of the American Axis in the previous intensive phase of the war, Iranian strategists focused mainly on fuel depots, hangars for drones, tankers for refueling and barracks."

The same analysis concluded: "The American response has been to withdraw its forces even further from Iran, to bases in Israel and Jordan. We will call this process 'debasification.'
